
Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin because we make it in our skin in response to exposure to sunlight containing ultraviolet B rays or UVB radiation. Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin but is more like a hormone.

Folate is the name for a type of B vitamin , (vitamin B9). Folate is found naturally in foods. Folic acid on the other hand is the man-made version sold as supplements and added to fortified foods.

Vitamin C helps to increase iron absorption in our bodies by adding more to your meals which come in the form of greens, vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, seaweeds and more. You can be sure your body will have a better chance of receiving the iron it needs.

Because root vegetables grow underground, they absorb a great amount of nutrients from the soil. They are packed with a high concentration of antioxidants, Vitamins C, B, A, and iron, helping to cleanse your system.


When our bodies are nourished with the correct foods and we have a healthy amount of exercise in our daily routine, generally our bodies will come back into balance with a little time and effort.

Weakness and fatigue are common symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency. They occur because your body doesn't have enough vitamin B12 to make red blood cells, which transport oxygen throughout your body. As a result, you are unable to efficiently transport oxygen to your body's cells, making you feel tired and weak.
